Jeff Tang

“You are learning about business and you are also learning about yourself.”

I am a Batten Media Scholar at the University of Virginia and plan on pursuing a marketing career after earning my MBA. I’ve loved returning to the classroom and believe Darden’s rigorous, case method-based program has helped me prepare for the exciting opportunities ahead.

After graduating from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2004, I worked at the NBC station in Louisville, KY and the CBS station in Nashville, TN. I’m a seven-time Regional Emmy Award Winner and was twice named “Best Reporter” by the Tennessee Associated Press. This past summer I interned with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in Waterbury, VT. When I'm not prepping for class, I enjoy rock climbing, writing music, and hiking with my rescue mutts, Sadie and Fender.
