Why can’t I reinstate my score if I took the GMAT™ exam prior to January 1, 2014?
Since score reinstatement is a recent new feature, our system does not allow reinstatement of score data captured prior to 2014.How long will my score be eligible for reinstatement?
Going forward, cancelled scores can be reinstated up to 4 years and 11 months of the exam date. This time frame accounts for the 5-year life of a GMAT exam score, with a 1-month allowance for processing. How does the new process affect score reporting to schools?
If a score is cancelled, the score report will not be sent to schools, and the candidate will not be able to view the Official Score Report for that exam.If a score is reinstated, the score report will be sent to the initial list of schools/programs that candidates selected on their exam date. This list of schools/programs cannot be modified by the candidate during the reinstate process. In some cases, a school/program on the list may not receive the scores if that specific program is no longer valid. Candidates will be able to view the list of schools/programs receiving the reinstated score prior to confirming the reinstatement.
If you wish to send your reinstated score to additional schools, you can purchase an Additional Score Report (ASR).
Why is it free to cancel at the test center, but US$25 to cancel online afterwards?
The US$25 fee is to preserve the current timeline for sending score reports to schools while allowing additional flexibility in the cancellation process. All exams that are accepted by the candidate at the test center will be immediately processed for scoring. The online cancel fee helps cover the cost of scoring these exams, regardless of whether they are subsequently cancelled during the following 72 hours. How will cancelling and reinstating my scores impact any Additional Score Reports (ASR) I purchase?
If you purchase an Additional Score Report (ASR) within the 72 hour cancellation period, you will not be able to cancel your score. If you recently reinstated a score, you may be temporarily unable to purchase an ASR until the reinstatement is fully processed. This is to ensure that the ASR you purchased includes all your GMAT scores, including the one you recently reinstated.
If I cancelled a score at the test center prior to March 10, will I be able to reinstate that score under the new policy, after 60 days past my exam date?
