How has the GMAT registration price changed?

Effective April 30, 2019, the fee for taking the GMAT exam in select European test-center locations has increased by approximately US$35, from US$250 to US$285*. With this change, candidates are now able to pay GMAT exam fees in select local currencies: Pound Sterling and Euros. Candidates testing in the United Kingdom will pay £225 and candidates in locations where the official currency is Euros will pay €250. For all other test-center locations on the list, fees will be charged in US$.

The locations impacted by these changes are:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

*USD fee conversion from Euros and Pound Sterling subject to currency exchange rates at time of purchase.

What products are affected by this change?

This fee change impacts the GMAT registration fee, appointment rescheduling, and cancellation fees.

Products and services purchased after you register for and take your GMAT exam will not be impacted by this change. This refers to Additional Score Reports (ASR), Enhanced Score Reports (ESR), online score cancellations, and/or score reinstatements.

All pricing for products in the mba.com/store will remain unchanged, in USD. Value Added Tax (VAT) still applies where applicable.

How has pricing changed for rescheduling and cancelling GMAT appointments?

Based on feedback we have received from GMAT test takers, the pricing for rescheduling and cancelling GMAT appointments has been restructured to provide more flexibility for test takers and reduce the financial burden on those who need to make last-minute changes to their appointment. In addition, the fees are reduced for those who reschedule 60 or more days before their appointment.

Effective April 30, 2019, appointment rescheduling and cancellation fees will be structured in three tiers based on the amount of time between your original scheduled appointment and an appointment change:

  • 1 to 14 days prior to appointment
  • 15 to 60 days prior to appointment
  • More than 60 days prior to appointment

Per regulatory requirements, if testing within the EU, a full refund will be provided if the appointment is canceled within 14 days of the registration date. Please contact GMAT Customer Service by phone at +44(0)1618557219 between 9 am and 5 pm GMT or by live chat via mba.com. Your call-center fee will be waived.

The no-show policy has not changed. No appointment changes can be made or modified within 24 hours of the exam appointment time and candidates who do not show up for the test will be responsible for the full exam fee.

Where are the rescheduling and cancellation fees changes taking place?

The locations impacted by these changes are:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

I scheduled my GMAT exam prior to the fee changes and now I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment. What fees should I now expect to pay?

GMAT pricing changes will be effective April 30, 2019, and any GMAT fees paid after that time will be subject to the new fee structure.

In the case of rescheduling or canceling your GMAT exam appointment made prior to April 30, 2019, the original GMAT exam fees will be refunded in full, and you will be subject to the new fee structure and currency applicable to your location.

If you are rescheduling your exam, you will need to call Customer Service by phone at +44(0)1618557219 between 9 am and 5 pm GMT. Your call-center fee will be waived.

If you are cancelling your exam, you will need to call Customer Service by phone at +44(0)1618557219 between 9 am and 5 pm GMT. Your call-center fee will be waived.

Note: You can cancel online, however, due to a technical issue you will not receive the correct refund.

How do I determine which GMAT fees I will pay?

GMAT fees will be determined by the test-center location of your scheduled GMAT exam. Fees that are impacted by local pricing include the GMAT registration, appointment rescheduling fees, appointment cancellation fees, and the Enhanced Score Report (ESR) if purchased during registration.

Fees for products and services purchased after you take the GMAT exam (Additional Score Reports, Enhanced Score Reports, online score cancellations and/or score reinstatements) will be unchanged and globally consistent in US$ pricing.

How will my GMAT price be determined if I reschedule my exam at a different test center?

GMAT registration and rescheduling fees will be determined by the test-center location. If you are rescheduling to a different test center that falls within the same currency borders, there will be no impact to your GMAT registration fee; you will only be responsible for the rescheduling fee.

If you are rescheduling your exam at a test center with different fees than your original test center, your original appointment will be cancelled and refunded in full, and you will then be charged for the new GMAT registration and rescheduling fees associated with your new test center. Rescheduling will need to be done by contacting Customer Service by phone at +44 (0) 161 855 7219 between 9 am and 5 pm GMT. Your call-center fee will be waived.

I have a GMAT gift card or voucher that I have not used. Can I still use it?

Yes, you can still use any un-redeemed gift card or voucher towards your GMAT exam. If your gift card is in a different currency after the fee changes, or if it no longer covers the full cost of the exam, please call Customer Service by phone at +44 (0) 161 855 7219, between 9 am and 5 pm GMT to redeem it in the correct currency and amount. The call-center fee will be waived. You will not be required to pay more to make up for any difference in fees.
