What schools use GMAT® scores?
More than 6,000 graduate management programs around the world use GMAT scores as part of their admissions process. Find schools and programs that accept the GMAT exam.
When do I get my scores?
Your Official Score Report will be available to you within 20 calendar days of your GMAT exam. Once your scores are reportable, Pearson VUE will send an email. You may view, download, or print your Official Score Report, by visiting: www.mba.com/mygmat. If you require further assistance, please contact email@example.com.
If I’ve taken the GMAT® exam more than once, will the score report contain all the scores? The Official Score Report that you receive will include all GMAT exams that you have taken within the past five years. The score reports that are sent to schools will only include those scores that you have accepted. Any GMAT scores cancelled by you will not be included or otherwise indicated in the school version of the score report.
How do I order additional score reports, and how long do they take?
What if I want a score report for a GMAT® exam taken over five years ago?
Score Reports from tests taken from five to 10 years ago are available for a fee, but they are sent to schools with the caveat that they should be interpreted with caution. Check with the school before requesting an old score report, because many do not accept them. Scores over 10 years old are not available. If you have any GMAT scores within five years, only those scores within five years will be reported. A score report older than five years can only be ordered by contacting GMAT Customer Service for your region.
How long are GMAT® scores valid?
GMAT scores are valid for five years, and are available for reporting for up to 10 years. Scores over 10 years old are not available.
Can I cancel my scores?
GMAT test takers can cancel their score at the test center immediately after their exam, at no additional cost. You can also cancel your GMAT score online for a fee, within 72 hours after the scheduled start time of your exam. Your cancelled scores will not be shown or otherwise indicated on the score reports sent to schools. For more information, click here. Please call GMAT Customer Service (Pearson VUE) as soon as possible if not able to cancel online within the first 48 hours.
If I canceled my scores but decide I want to reinstate them, what do I do?
To reinstate a canceled score, login to your MBA.com account or call the customer service number for your region (page 1 of the GMAT® Handbook). The fee to reinstate a cancelled score is US$50 (additional US$10 fee will apply if reinstated by phone).
Is my score eligible to be reinstated?Any valid GMAT exam taken on or after January 1, 2014 will be eligible for reinstatement. Going forward, cancelled scores can be reinstated up to 4 years and 11 months of the exam date. This time frame accounts for the 5-year life of a GMAT exam score, with a 1-month allowance for processing. Click here for more information.
How do I pay the score reinstate fee?You can pay the fee with a credit card during the checkout process online. If you are calling customer service, the representative will ask for your credit card information. At this time, a credit card transaction is the only way to pay for the reinstate fee.
Q: How long do I have to reinstate my score?A: You have 4 years and 11 months from the day of your exam to reinstate your score. However, only exams taken on or after January 1, 2014, are eligible to be reinstated.
I accepted my scores on test day. Can I cancel them later?Yes, you will be able to cancel your GMAT score online within 72 hours of your scheduled exam time for a US$25 fee. We recommend that candidates carefully consider their strategy and decisions for cancelling their scores before their GMAT exam date.
How do I send my scores to schools? On the day you take the GMAT exam, but before you begin, you may select up to five (5) GMAT accepting programs to receive your Official Score Report. If you did not select any GMAT programs to receive your scores on the day of your exam, or if you would like to send your scores to more than the five (5) programs you selected on your test day, you may order Additional Score Reports to be sent to schools online, by phone, by fax, or by mail for a fee. When you order an Additional Score Report to be sent to a school, you will also receive a copy. You may order a score report online.
To order a score report by phone, contact GMAT Customer Service for your region. Please note, there will be a US$10 surcharge for scheduling by phone.
If I reinstate my GMAT® scores, am I still able to send them to five schools for free or do I have to pay the additional score report fee of US$35?
At the test center before you take the test, you can select up to five programs to receive your score reports at no additional charge. If you reinstate your scores, they will be sent to the schools that you selected right before you took the test. Any score reports ordered after test day require a US$35 fee for each report.
How long after I request reinstatement of my scores will they be available?
Your scores will be available to you within five to 20 days. In most cases, the scores will be available within five to seven days, but we may need up to 20 days to fully process your request, as we would if you accepted your scores on test day.
