Registration and Payment
Registering for NMAT by GMAC™ exam is simple and convenient. Get started with these easy-to-follow steps:
- Start by clicking on ‘Create your NMAT Account’ on mba.com/nmat and create an account. Be sure to use a valid email address.
- Fill remaining details under 'Manage NMAT Profile'.
- Check your mailbox for a verification email and follow the steps it mentions to verify your account. Be sure to check your junk or spam folders. If needed, click the ‘Resend Email Verification’ button on the NMAT page.
- Click the ‘NMAT by GMAC™ Dashboard’ button on the NMAT page and access the Candidate Dashboard.
- Complete the application form. Note: Your name and date of birth must exactly match your Photo ID.
- Select the schools to send your scores in the School Preferences section. Score sending to 5 schools is included in your registration fee. Additional schools cost INR 400 + taxes each.
- Upload a recent (within 6 months) photograph that resembles you and matches your Photo ID. This will appear on your admit card.
- Pay the exam fee. For registration queries, email nmatsupport@gmac.com.
Schedule Your Exam
- After registration and payment, go to your Candidate Dashboard and click Book Exam Slot.
- Select At Test Centre as your exam mode and click Submit.
- On the scheduler, click PROCEED, then read and agree to the policies.
- Choose the Country, City, and Test Centre, then select your preferred date and time.
- Download your admit card from the Candidate Dashboard 7 days before your exam date.
Note: Test centres shown are based on the location provided in your application form.
Retakes
You may take the NMAT by GMAC™ exam a maximum of three times in a testing cycle (from July 1 to June 30). This includes the first attempt plus up to two retakes.
Retake payment and scheduling become available after your previous attempt. After paying the retake fee, click the Retake Exam button, then select location, date, and time.
- If your scorecard shows a valid score, you may book your next attempt immediately—but the exam date must be at least 7 days later.
- If your scorecard shows No Show, NDA Refused, or Exam Incomplete, you may schedule a new exam slot 24 hours later.
Note: NMAT by GMAC™ registration and B-School application are separate processes. Please check university/B-school websites regularly for eligibility criteria and updates regarding programs accepting NMAT scores.
