Additional Attempt Option for the GMAT™ Online Exam

Congratulations again on taking the GMAT™ Online exam! 

For test takers who took the GMAT™ Online exam before the ability to use a physical whiteboard (June 11, 2020) was made available, we are offering the option to take the GMAT™ Online exam an additional time for a total of two (2) exam attempts.  

To take advantage of this option your new GMAT Online exam appointment must be scheduled between by December 31 2020. Please note that the US $250 registration fee applies for this additional attempt option.

Your Score – How will your score be recorded?

GMAT™ Online exam appointments on or after September 23, 2020 

Additional GMAT Online exam attempts appointments scheduled after September 23, 2020 will count as your second and final attempt. No additional GMAT™ Online exam attempts will be available. 

Your original GMAT™ Online exam attempt prior to June 11, 2020, will not count toward the GMAT™ exam rolling 12-month and lifetime limits. However, your scheduled attempt after September 23, 2020, will count toward these limits. 

New! Choose which score to send to your programs 

After your upcoming second attempt, you will have two scores available in your mba.com account. You will now have the opportunity and flexibility to send one or both of your scores to an unlimited number of programs of your choice, at no additional cost. 

If you score a higher GMAT™ Total Score on your retest GMAT™ Online exam attempt, your score will be available to you within 7 business days in your mba.com account. 

Your new, higher score will replace the prior score displayed in your mba.com account. If you previously selected any programs to receive your first GMAT™ Online score, your new, higher score will be automatically sent to these programs. You will also have the option to send your new score to additional programs at no additional cost.  

Exam appointments prior to September 23, 2020

Higher Score 

If you score a higher GMAT™ Total Score on your second GMAT™ Online exam attempt, your score will be available to you within 7 business days in your mba.com account.  
 
Your new, higher score will replace the first score displayed in your mba.com account. If you previously selected any programs to receive your first GMAT™ Online score, your new, higher score will be automatically sent to these programs. You will also have the option to send your new score to additional programs at no additional cost.  
 
Important note: Although your higher score will be sent automatically to your schools (previously selected for your first GMAT™ Online Exam score), we recommend you follow up directly with your schools. Notify your schools that you have a higher GMAT™ Online score to ensure your second score is factored into your application.   

Equal or Lower Score 

If you score an equal or lower GMAT™ Total Score on your second attempt, the higher score from your first exam will be retained. Your lower, second score will not be displayed in your mba.com account and your record will not be updated. Neither you nor any programs you previously selected will receive this lower score. We will notify you that your first score is retained. 

Please note that if you choose to register to take the GMAT™ Online exam again, you are hereby agreeing and consenting to the score reporting guidelines outlined above.  
 
If you choose to take the GMAT™ Online Exam again prior to September 23, 2020, neither attempt will count toward your yearly or lifetime exam attempt limits.

Go to GMAT Online to register for your new GMAT™ Online exam and select your appointment date and time. As a reminder, appointments can be made anytime–24 hours a day, 7 days a week–to fit your schedule.
