Supporting Our Indian Candidates & Colleagues

With the recent COVID surge in India affecting lives and livelihoods deeply, our thoughts are with all those who are facing this challenge. In these challenging times, The Graduate Management Admission Council™ (GMAC™), the owners and administrators of the GMAT exam, would like to share our heartfelt support with those affected and their families.

GMAC is taking steps to protect our colleagues, their families and the candidate community. To ensure there are no disruptions to candidates’ pursuit of their graduate management education goals, we have implemented a range of precautionary measures. Safety is the primary concern at our testing centers, and testing center staff are following enhanced health and safety protocols. This includes providing hand sanitizer and tissues within the test center and in waiting areas. Check-in equipment and testing stations, including the keyboard, mouse, chair, and computer terminal, are sanitized after every use and waiting areas are sanitized throughout the day. Candidates who would prefer to write their tests from the safety of their homes have the option of taking the GMAT exam and the Executive Assessment online.

We have close ties to many educational institutions in India and at this difficult time, our thoughts are with our friends and industry colleagues who are dealing with multiple concerns related to the well-being of their students, staff and other key stakeholders, and their own health and safety. They are in our thoughts and we pray that they continue to be safe and healthy.

In the coming days and weeks, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and to adjust our policies, and provide updates as needed.

We stand in solidarity with our staff, candidates, industry colleagues and stakeholders in India.

Stay safe and healthy
