Jessica GalimoreI'm a first year student at The University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Washington, DC to work as a Victim Advocate and Program Coordinator at Safe Shores – The DC Children’s Advocacy Center.

“Before coming to school I worked as a victim advocate at a trauma-focused non-profit.”

I received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Psychology and minored in Spanish. I worked at Safe Shores for five years serving child victims of abuse and trauma before joining Smith. In June, 2013 I plan to be a Federal Human Capital Summer Associate with Deloitte Consulting, LLP.

During my first year at Smith I was a First Year Board Member on the Professional Communications Club and Net Impact Club, a Graduate Assistant in the Office of MBA & MS Admissions, competed in the Hult Prize Regional Competition, and continued my involvement with the University of Michigan Alumni Association. I'm currently the MBAA Vice President of Student Affairs, a Board Member on Professional Communications Club and am continuing my work as a contracted trainer for Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children.
