"My goal is to become a better leader in order to do good in the world."
I'm a music-loving mountain girl born and raised in Canmore, Alberta. In 2005, along with my teammates, I started Fast and Female to “inspire and be inspired.” In 2006, I won Olympic gold in cross-country skiing and captured the hearts of Canadians when I belted out the national anthem from the top step of the podium. In 2014, I retired from competitive ski racing after three Olympics and 13 years of international ski racing with the Canadian National Team where I visited the world cup podium seven times. I am currently pursuing an education that will enhance my ability to take Fast and Female to new levels. My main interests beyond Fast and Female consist of doing the following activities with friends and family: yoga, camping, playing guitar, dancing, reading, eating seafood, travel, concerts, and any kind of adventure out in the mountains.
