Students teams worked with executives at local nonprofits to produce recommendations for key initiatives. Beneficiaries include a large children's hospital, a center dedicated to improving education in impoverished areas, a children's advocacy center, and an arts organization.

SMU Cox Business Leadership Center’s Nonprofit Consulting Program pairs full-time and professional MBA students with local nonprofit organizations. Student teams work over a six-week period researching and benchmarking, gathering and analyzing data, and ultimately generating plans to solve core business challenges.

On 23rd, 2005 Twenty-two students alums and faculty from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University rode their bikes as Team MBA for 7, 25, 40, 70 or even 100 mikes.

A team of 22 from the Cox School at SMU participated in the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s 9th Annual Ride for the Roses.
