Retesting Option - GMAT™ Online Exam

Additional Attempt Option for the GMAT™ Online Exam

Congratulations again on taking the GMAT™ Online exam!

For test takers who took the GMAT™ Online exam before the ability to use a physical whiteboard (June 11, 2020) was made available, we are offering the option to take the GMAT™ Online exam an additional time. We are waiving the one-time limit on the GMAT™ Online exam, so you now have the option to take the GMAT™ Online exam one additional time, for a total of two exam attempts.

To take advantage of this option your new GMAT Online exam appointment must be scheduled between June 11, 2020 – December 31, 2020. Please note that the $200 registration fee applies for this additional attempt option.

Learn more about the details of this additional attempt option below:

Your Score – How will your score be recorded?

Higher Score

If you score a higher GMAT™ Total Score on your second GMAT™ Online exam attempt, your score will be available to you within 7 business days in your account.

Your new, higher score will replace the first score displayed in your account. If you previously selected any programs to receive your first GMAT™ Online score, your new, higher score will be automatically sent to these programs. You will also have the option to send your new score to additional programs at no additional cost.

Important note: Although your higher score will be sent automatically to your schools (previously selected for your first GMAT™ Online Exam score), we recommend you follow up directly with your schools. Notify your schools that you have a higher GMAT™ Online score to ensure your second score is factored into your application.

Equal or Lower Score

If you score an equal or lower GMAT™ Total Score on your second attempt, the higher score from your first exam will be retained. Your lower, second score will not be displayed in your account and your record will not be updated. Neither you nor any programs you previously selected will receive this lower score. We will notify you that your first score is retained.

Please note that if you choose to register to take the GMAT™ Online exam again, you are hereby agreeing and consenting to the score reporting guidelines outlined above.

If you choose to take the GMAT™ Online Exam again, neither attempt will count toward your yearly or lifetime exam attempt limits.

Reminder: the second attempt option is only available to test takers who took a GMAT Online exam from April 20, 2020 – June 10, 2020 and is available for new appointments scheduled between June 11, 2020 – December 31, 2020.
