Frequently Asked Questions

Your Official Score Report is available via your mba.com account typically within 7 business days, but may take up to 20 business days to process. You will be notified via email once your Official Score Report is available. It includes your exam appointment details, some personal data that was provided at registration, individual section scores, Total Score, and percentile rankings. The Official Score Report that you receive will include all GMAT exams that you have taken within the past five years.

 Exams Taken at a Test Center:  The score reports that are sent to schools will only include those scores that you have accepted. Any GMAT scores cancelled by you will not be included or otherwise indicated in the school version of the score report. 

You can send your Official Score Report to as many additional programs as you like, as long as your score is no more than five years old. Additional score reports can be purchased for US $35 each via your mba.com account. Please note:  

  • For test-center delivered exams, if you purchase an additional score report within 72 hours of your exam, you will not be able to cancel your Official Score Report online.
  • Score reporting fees are non-refundable.

If you have scores older than five years but less than 10 years, you may ask to send these scores to programs as long as you have not taken the GMAT exam within the past five years. Please contact GMAC Customer Care for more information.

Score Reports from tests taken five to 10 years ago are available for a fee, but they are sent to schools with the caveat that they should be interpreted with caution. Check with the school before requesting an old score report, because many do not accept them. Scores over 10 years old are not available. If you have any GMAT scores within five years, only those scores within five years will be reported. A score report older than five years can only be ordered by contacting GMAC Customer Care for your region. 

GMAT scores are valid for five years, and are available for reporting for up to 10 years. Scores over 10 years old are not available.

Official Score Reports, which include copies of essays and a digital photograph if a designated graduate management program has elected to receive them, are released to schools at your specific request, either when you take the test or when you request an Additional Score Report. The rescoring service is only available to the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) section. Rescoring cannot be applied to the Quantitative, Verbal, or Integrated Reasoning sections of the GMAT exam. For AWA rescoring, please contact GMAC Customer Care.

To ensure that test takers have an accurate record of their GMAT exam history, you will still see all your GMAT exams on your record, including cancelled scores. However, cancelled scores will not be displayed on the version of score reports sent to schools.
