How GMASS Works for You

When you create or update your mba.com account, you’ll be asked if you want graduate business schools to contact you. When you choose "yes," your information will be entered into the GMASS database. Whether you’ve taken the GMAT® exam or not, you’ll want to participate in the GMASS database to discover programs that match your skills and background, as well as financial aid opportunities that you never knew existed.  With GMASS, you will:

  • Expand your search opportunities by connecting with more than 400 participating schools worldwide.
  • Discover scholarships or other financial aid options that you haven’t heard of before.
  • Streamline your search process by enabling only the best-fitting programs to find you, and by learning about targeted recruiting events.

The more information you share about yourself, the greater the prospect of finding the right program.

 

Make it Easy for Schools to Find You

You can make it easier for schools to connect with you by sharing as much information with us as you can. Participating schools conduct searches based on any of the following criteria:

  • Personal information
  • Geographic information
  • Educational background and objectives

How Schools Contact You

When schools find you, they will most likely contact you by email or postal mail.  Expect to receive additional information including program brochures, applications, program overviews, invitations to informational events, and fliers.

GMAC Takes Your Privacy Seriously

By signing up for the GMASS database, you are requesting information on graduate business schools, scholarship-granting organizations, job opportunities, and other products and services from strategic partners and corporate affiliates of GMAC that share its commitment to creating access to graduate business education, and you give GMAC permission to share your information with these organizations.

GMAC requires that these organizations agree to strict rules of conduct before they can access your information. For instance, they cannot use your information for discriminatory purposes and they must honor all opt-out requests. To ensure that schools and organizations meet these requirements, they must provide GMAC with a copy of all communications they send to GMASS participants.

You may opt out of the GMASS database at any time by modifying your profile on mba.com or by contacting customer service via customercare@mba.com. If you wish to opt out with organizations that have already received your information, you must contact them directly. If you have any concerns regarding communications that you receive from a school or organization, please contact customercare@mba.com.
