When applying to graduate school, financial considerations are very important. However, they definitely should not be the determining factor. Focus first on applying to the graduate school and what you need to do to get in to that grad school. Once you get in, you can start focusing on different sources of financial aid. From my experience, once you’re admitted to a school, schools will help you put together a package, which may include some loans, but the package will allow you to go to the school of your choice.

For me, the best part of being in Business School is studying with a group of energetic and talented people. Business school students have a reputation of working hard and playing harder. So, besides the schoolwork, many of us head out a lot and we also get many networking opportunities with alums and also some industry leaders.
Learn more about an MBA degree
The MBA is a unique opportunity in regards to what it does for my future. I think it definitely is the key to opening the door to multiple opportunities. I look at it as a springboard to taking me in a different direction; whether it’s in my career, whether it’s in the community. That was what was important to me. I felt like the door was shut, so to speak, before I started graduate school. Every direction I started to go in, I couldn’t continue to go in because of a lack of education, so to speak. And so by opening that door with an MBA program, I’ve completely seen that. You look into the future and there are some opportunities that I see that I can have because of the MBA.
